Essay On A Picnic In Moonlight

Nature is a great magician. It keeps on changing every now and then. The crystal clear moonlight, pleasant atmosphere, fragrance of flowers fills our life with joy. We feel energetic and thrilled when we look at this ever-changing conjurer. It’s great fun to go on a picnic and enjoy the natural beauty. On one full moon day, one of my friends had arranged for a short picnic at the riverside. We wanted to enjoy the moonlight and its calm comfortable atmosphere.

The river Ganga is a short distance from our house. So after we finished our dinner, we went walking there. It was a very beautiful scene. The sand was shining in the moonlight. The atmosphere was very cool and quiet. We could hear the gentle sound of prayers from the nearby temples. Many people were enjoying a boat ride in the river. We also decided to go for a boat ride. We booked a six-seater boat.

After we settled down the boatman sailed the boat. The boat was nicely decorated. It was a pleasant sight to watch. We were going down the current. It was a very inspiring atmosphere and one of my friends started singing. The boatman also joined us. He was very talkative. We questioned him about his experiences. We cracked many jokes. We then enjoyed the snacks that my mother had given us. It was a nice experience to eat on the boat.

It was almost one hour that we started our expedition. The boatman skillfully turned the boat and we started sailing towards the banks. The atmosphere was very cool now. The return journey was a little difficult. The boat was going against the current. So the boatman had to work hard at the oars. I tried to help him but it was very difficult to hold the oars and push them against the current of water. We reached the bank after 20 to 25 minutes. We then said goodbye to each other and returned home. It was indeed a very nice picnic.
