Essay On Morning Walk

It is a known fact that morning walks keep one fit and healthy, If one wants to get up early for a walk, it goes without saying that you have to sleep early. “Early to bed early to rise, makes a man healthy wealthy, and wise.” People living in villages get fresh pollution-free air without much effort. But in cities, the smoke from factories and vehicles mix into the air and so it gets polluted. We can get the fresh, cool breeze of wind early morning only. The habit of going for a morning walk is very good indeed.

I stay in Rohini Apartment. There are a few big green grounds near our apartment. There is a huge garden near the sports complex. The garden has a fountain at the center. There are many big trees and colourful flowering plants in between. I go to this garden every day for a morning walk. There are many people who visit the park for exercise or for a walk. Some can be seen doing Yogasaans, some come for jogging and some other kinds of exercises. Young children can be seen playing football. Elderly people can be seen praying or meditating. Some elderly people have formed their groups and they discuss different topics like politics, cricket, etc.

Many times volunteers of Rashtriya Sewak Sangh can be seen doing exercise. They wear white shirts and khaki half pants. They also play some local group games. Their program starts with Vande Mataram and ends with a prayer.

The advantages of a morning walk are many. Getting up early keeps you fresh throughout the day. The cool morning air is very good for the lungs. It sharpens the memory. It makes one feel energetic and refreshing. It makes the mind and body active. It increases the capacity to work. No diet or tonic is as effective as a morning walk. But morning walk is beneficial only if taken regularly.
