Essay On Summer Season

Nature is a great magician. The six seasons that we experience in our country give us great joy and pleasure. The summer season is the hottest season of all. But it is the most important season in spite of the fact that the heat is intense. The hot wind blows throughout the day. The season lasts from February to May.

The days are usually long and nights are shorter. The rays of the sun fall perpendicular. The heat goes on increasing by afternoon. Rivers, ponds, and tanks dry up. Trees and entire vegetation gets dried up. The grass becomes withered and insufficient. We do not feel like working for long hours and get tired immediately. Schools and colleges remain closed during this season. Animals seek shades. They do not like to wander in the burning heat. Demand for cold water, ice, ice-creams, and cold drinks increases.

But the summer season has its advantages too. The rainy season that follows is essential for agriculture. Agriculture in our country depends largely upon the monsoon. So if the monsoon is good our overall production increases. This is also the season of best fruits like mangoes, watermelons, and oranges. These fruits quench our thirst. However, we need to take care of our health during this season. We should not drink water immediately after coming from the scorching sun. We should use umbrellas while going out. We should avoid going out in the afternoon.

The summer season gives us the message not to be afraid of hardships in life. Every bad condition is followed by a good condition just as the intense summer is followed by the rainy season. Whatever the condition is, I like this season for two reasons mangoes and school holidays.
