My main duty is to remain faithful to my country until my last breath. Loyalty towards the country is close to my heart. I am always ready to loss everything for the sake of my people. I always obey the set laws and respect the Constitution of my country. I never do anything that is not permitted by the law.
I see my country above everything. I am always ready to protect my motherland. I am fully prepared to risk my life for the sake of my country. As an ideal citizen, I have a strong belief in the law of my country. I have no sympathy for those who break the laws or damage the peace. I help the law protectors I against those who create problems in society.
An ideal citizen is a person of good habits and clean thinking. I lead a simple life and always respect beliefs and opinions of others. I am helpful, friendly, self-sacrificing and humble individual.
I am always alert against the enemies of the country. I never do anything that may help them. I take interest in politics, so that I may use my vote for the good of the country.
I am confident and brave to carry out my activities. I never ill-treat, harm or cheat anyone. I am a person who is clean in thoughts, words and deeds. If I were a soldier, I would have fought bravely. If I were a social worker, I would have put my heart and soul in my work. If I were a teacher, I would have worked very hard for the progress of my students. If I were a doctor, I would have done my best to save my patients’ life. Thus, an ideal citizen like me has all the qualities worthy for highest honour.

He performs his duty with full enthusiasm and responsibility. He is well aware of his duties and perform his duties always. Other citizens try to follow him. An ideal citizen participates in exercising his vote and electing the representatives. He helps others from the view of making the society more happy, cultured and superior.
A good citizen lives in harmony. He is patient and tolerant to others faith and religion. He believes in equality and liberty. He is a man of principles and ideals. He is kind, truthful, sincere and cooperative. He is proud of the nation’s culture and heritage. He tries to protect it. He never tolerates terrorism, injustice and corruption. He is a real source of power and strength.

In a democratic set up, an ideal citizen plays an important role in the society. Such a citizen thinks of his nation first and of himself later. An ideal citizen is always ready to sacrifice his own interest at the call of the nation. In whatever capacity he works, he serves his country and fellow human beings. An ideal citizen knows his responsibilities and respects the rights of others. He does not want any special favour for himself. He is against wasting water, electricity or any other item which is scarce and his other fellow citizens get a limited quantity. He does not misuse the facilities provided to him. An ideal citizen does not indulge in anti-social and anti-national activities nor does he cheat the government. He does not allow others to indulge in such evil activities. He helps the authorities in curbing evils prevalent in the society such as black-marketing, smuggling and corruption.
An ideal citizen is a thorough gentleman. He is always polite and courteous. He is also considerate and cooperative. He never hurts the feelings of others. He never does wrong to others in thoughts or actions. He leads a contented life and is not jealous on seeing others’ prosperity. An ideal citizen is really a very valuable asset to the society in which he lives.
Set 4: Essay On An Ideal Citizen
We are all citizens of India and we are proud of being so, and that’s a good idea, but the question is, are we all ideal citizens?
It is not easy to be an ideal citizen. An ideal citizen, as the term signifies, has and follows high ideals. What are the important ideals that an ideal citizen observes? Some of them can be noted easily.
An ideal citizen is a very useful member of society, not just by virtue of his profession, but also by virtue of his behaviour and attitude to society and country and to his neighbours.
Such a citizen does whatever is within his means to further the cause of democracy, security and justice.
He casts his own vote and that very honestly only to the party or candidate that he thinks genuinely deserves it. He also encourages others to cast their votes fairly and fearlessly to the candidates of their choice.
Such a citizen has a high civic sense. He does not waste water, food products or any kind of energy items such as gas, electricity, etc. An ideal citizen renders yeoman’s service in time of need. At the time of natural and national calamities, such as earthquakes, fires, floods, famines, terrorist attacks, riots, war, etc. an ideal citizen not only contributes liberally, but also does all kinds of social work that he can and all that selflessly.
An ideal citizen is a true patriot. He does not spread rumours. He is honest in paying his taxes. He is ready to lay down his life for his country.
He takes an active part in all national programmes such as literacy drive, pulse polio, malaria eradication, etc.
