The lifestyle and costumes of people keep on changing with the ever-changing trends of society. Man is a social animal and he always wants to show himself in a presentable form. Beauty and costumes have remained closely related right from the civilization of mankind. Every person likes to be attractive and he or she tries to bring in different trends in his or her clothing. This changing style of dressing up is called fashion. Especially ladies like to change their style very often. We try to meet our physical defects by artificial means and this is nothing but fashion,
Fashion does not indicate only the clothing styles but it also includes different hairstyles, ornaments, watches, even footwear. Fashion has been closely related to mankind since ancient times. Initially, men used to wear garlands made with bones. Then he learned the art of making beads from small and colorful stones and started using them. Ladies used to do various types of hairstyles which are evident from the ancient sculptures. To look more attractive both men and women used to cover their bodies with quills, flowers, leaves, etc. Indian fabric was being exported in western countries. Roman ladies were very fond of Indian dresses.
Fashion is particularly related to the culture and weather of that area. It depends on many factors like adaptability, novelty, easiness, usability, and of course beauty. These are the most important factors of any trend. We always try to present ourselves according to the latest trends and necessities of society. It is but natural that students like to get dressed as per the new fashions.
Teenagers are crazy about the latest fashions. But one should not forget the fact student life is also the time to build one’s future. This is the time to empower ourselves. It should not be wasted only in daydreaming or beautifying ourselves. It is necessary to develop our career by working hard rather than wasting time in adapting to the newer fashions. This is the time to be responsible for society and the nation.
The definition of fashion has changed totally today. Students smoke and drink only for the sake of fashion. This is not good. Obsessions with fashion are harmful and undesirable. It should not be imitated blindly. Students should keep themselves away from such ill habits. Our dress or appearance should not be funny. Fashion should be in accordance with one’s physique, health, and comforts. Fashion should reflect our culture. Any fashion which is not good for our body should be avoided. A balanced combination of the latest trends and simplicity definitely improves the personality of any person.
