Essay On How I Spent My Summer Vacation
I love summer vacation for two reasons. The first reason is that the summer season is the mango season. We get lots of mangoes during summer. The second reason is that we have vacation for two months. There is no school, no studies. There is nothing specific to do for two months.
This season I had been to my grandparents’ house for about a month. They live in a small village near Pune. I went there with my parents. Two of my cousins from Nagpur also joined us. My grandfather lives in a huge old-fashioned house. He is a doctor and owns a small hospital.
The house is surrounded by lots of trees. There is a mango tree, a coconut tree, a chikoo tree, and many more. Our children enjoyed ourselves a lot there. In the morning, after having breakfast, we used to play cricket, football in the garden, In the afternoon we played cards, carom, etc. My mother, uncle, and Granny also joined us many times. We ate fresh fruits, vegetables and lots of mangoes.
Every evening grandfather used to take us for a walk. We also went to some picnic spots nearby. Sometimes we used to go to his dispensary and help him in treating the patients.
One day we went on a short picnic to a temple. My father told that it is a very old temple. The temple is on a small hill and we enjoyed climbing there. It was really a cool and comfortable place. There was also a small river just near the temple. We went boating there. Then we had our lunch and returned home in the evening.
I really had a great time for one month with my grandparents. I felt that I could stay at my Granny’s place forever. But the school was about to reopen and I had to come back. But I will certainly visit my grandparents again next year.
