There is a saying, “Health is wealth.” It means that one, who has good health, is the happiest person than the rich. Because, if a rich person is sick and cannot digest what he eats, he is unhappy in life. His life becomes useless to him. But a healthy person, though poor, lives a better life. Life is no burden to him. Life has its charm for him.

When a healthy person works hard, or walks a long distance, he is not tired. He enjoys his food, and has a sound sleep at night. A rich person is envious of him.

In order to maintain a good health, a person has to take pure and simple food. He has to do some kind of exercise, or to do some sort of manual work regularly. By the movement of his limbs and body, his food gets digested easily. Digested food supplies nutrition and pure blood to his body.

Health is a matter of pride in human life. For health culture, nowadays, there are many ways. Modern gymnasium provides various kinds of exercises. Yoga practice is also very useful. Besides walking, running, swimming, etc. are also good exercises.

Many people don’t know that good health brings mental alertness. We should know how to keep fit and live long. By eating the right food, one is able to secure good health. We should develop knowledge about vitamins and minerals in our food and should be aware about the need to keep fit. A famous doctor says, ‘Man does not die, but kills himself.’ Little by little we kill ourselves by eating wrong foods, like sugar, impure water and heavily spiced food, which harm our system and breed diseases.

To bring magic in our lives, we should include carrots, onions, garlic and plenty of leafy vegetables in our diet.

It takes more than food to be healthy. Romans and Greeks used to take a bath of olive oil, a salt water bath, and a bath of milk and honey for longevity and beauty.

Everything in life is as rhythmical as a wave upon wave on the sea shore. To cultivate rhythm, we should go in the sunshine and exercise, and enjoy vitality and radiant health. To remain young in spirit, we should isolate ourselves completely and meditate.

Meditation makes us incredibly calm and we will never be fretful and irritable. So eat carefully, exercise for health and cultivate mental energy for a better life.

Once Mahatma Gandhi said, “It is health which is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver”. There is nothing in our life, which is more valuable than good health. Without health, there is no happiness, peace and success in life. A person with bad health cannot enjoy the pleasure of being wealthy. Good health is a boon and the real jewel of life. The wealth of health can be obtained in a number of ways like regular exercise, good food, good thoughts and hygiene.

A healthy person does not have a need to spend money on medicines and visiting doctors. On the other hand, a lazy person is more likely of getting a disease. A healthy person enjoys good food and sound sleep. For him the world is beautiful and life is full of joy. He always remains happy and cheerful. He may be poor and have to work very hard to earn his living, but even the richest man would envy him for his good health. By health, however, we mean a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing.

Several things contribute to good health. Fresh air and sunlight are very important for our health. A filthy and damp surrounding can cause diseases. Fresh and pure drinking water and wholesome food are essential for healthy body. A balanced diet helps the proper growth of the body. Moreover, in order to keep the body healthy, we need to keep the mind sound. Physical exercises keep us fit.

A morning walk is very useful for good health. Games and sports are also very valuable for health. We must know some simple rules of hygiene. Our house must be airy and sunny. Apart from all this, we should keep ourselves free from anxieties.

Good health can be achieved only through our efforts and proper health care. We can maintain good health only if we are aware of various factors which affect our health. Regular good habits and cleanliness greatly contribute in maintaining good health. Balancing sleep and rest are also useful in this regard. Good health is actually wealth as it allows one to lead a life without being hampered by mental and physical disability, medical conditions such as diabetes, cancer and other possibly deadly diseases.

Thus, our good physical and mental wellbeing provides us the opportunity to enjoy life without any hindrances. The wealth’one derives from good health is actually a life free from conditions that troubles us and affects our happiness and comfort.

Many wealthy people are unable to enjoy their wealth and life due to constant poor health. Their daily performance is hindered by physical and mental weakness. Thus, they can be actually considered ‘poor’. In short, good health is wealth and many times no amount of money can cure one from terrible disease. Good health guarantees a satisfying and inspiring life.
