Essay On Dog
A dog is a pet animal. The dog is famous for its faithfulness. There are various breeds of dogs. Dogs are gifted with a strong sense of smell. They are very good at sensing a stranger. That is why they are used to guard our houses.
Dogs have four legs, two eyes, two ears, and a tail. They are of different shapes and sizes. Their color varies from brown, white, black to golden. Some are very small, like a rabbit and some are big in size. Some have thick fur all over their body.
We keep pet dogs for security purposes. Dogs immediately become conscious at the sight of a stranger. The Police Department takes their help to catch thieves. They start barking at the unknown and suspicious people. At night if a dog starts barking we come to know that something is wrong. Dogs also help in hunting. We always see them with the shepherds guarding their sheep and cattle.
The dog is of course a very useful animal but it is very dangerous if it gets infected with rabies. If such an infected dog bites us, we also get infected with this disease. It is very important to take injections in such a situation. So it is necessary to take care while dealing with rabid dogs.
There are many famous stories about the faithfulness of dogs. It was a dog who guided Dharmaraja to reach heaven. It is a true friend of man. I like dogs very much.
