Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Prime Minister of India visited our town before the election was to take place. We were very happy at the thought of seeing him. We admire him very much. Our governor, the president of our town municipality and many prominent persons were present at the airport to receive him. They came very early and eagerly waited for his arrival.

The plane arrived. The people clapped with joy. They got ready with their garlands. Shri Vajpayeeji descended from the plane. He smiled and made a gesture namaste to the assembled people. He was covered with garlands. He got into a waiting car. The car drove towards Governer house. Crowds of people had lined both sides of the route. They clapped and waved as his car passed by.

In the evening a public meeting was held. Countless people were present. The Prime Minister addressed the gathering. He tried to enlist support for the B. J. P. candidates. People were happy to listen to his speech.

He left our town the next day. We were sorry to see him leave. He has a wonderful personality. He is bold and fearless. We are proud to have him as our Prime Minister.
