Essay On Road Safety Patrol (RSP) In My School
In order to inculcate traffic discipline in students and in order to bring awareness about traffic issues among students, Road Safety Patrol (RSP) has been introduced in my school since last five years. In fact, it has been introduced in many of our neighbouring schools. In addition, from allowing students to regulate traffic near the school, the scheme also helps them to improve self-control among them.
This year students of my school won glories for the school by participating and winning the first position in the District Level March Past Competition conducted by Thane police Commissionerate at Police Parade grounds in Thane. It was a proud moment for my school. Forty students including fifteen girls participated in the March Past, which was graced by many important people including Mrs Roxana a retired physical training teacher and a well-known child psychiatrist.
Many students were awarded trophies and certificates for begging the first position. In our school PT teachers gave students regular training. This time students were taken to the venue by officials of the Traffic Department for intensive practice, which lasted for nearly three hours.
our However, school administrator, Mr Pinto, President of the school trust Mrs Zenith and members of the management have always encouraged all such activities in school.
Through this scheme, students are taught about various aspects of road safety and are trained in drill and parade. They are also taught leadership qualities and discipline. The RSP scheme in my school teaches road discipline to students who in turn educate their families and fellow citizens. The hardwork and dedication of teachers and students has helped my school to beg the first position in this prestigious competition. However, as a younger student I aspire to become Captain of my school’s RSP unit when I go in higher classes.
